PROJECT DETAILS

During construction of a 23-story luxury condominium, an area of the slab became overloaded with materials causing punching shear in six columns. The emergency repair required various strengthening techniques including the installation of 9” drop panels and near surface mount (NSM) rods on all six columns, full-depth demolition and new steel around two of the columns, and epoxy injection prior to the installation of STRATA’ V-Wrap™ C200H CFRP system.

STRATA worked closely with the general contractor and engineer of record to provide design assistance and to install our strengthening solutions. This collaboration kept the project under budget and allowed for it to be completed ahead of schedule.
